Nichinan coast

A fun morning surf session on the Miyazaki coast with Sky and Yukiji enjoying the lineup almost entirely to themselves early on. Not long after, Eishin, Non, Ride, and Odai paddled out—fresh back from Hawaii—and the battle for the best waves stepped up a little. With sunshine finally lighting up the ocean and a clean swell rolling through, the water had that beautiful deep blue colour that makes every wave look perfect.

Photographed from the beach in Miyazaki, Japan using the Sony A1 paired with the Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD super-telephoto lens. This lens from Tamron gives incredible reach for surf photography, allowing tight action shots from the shoreline without needing to paddle out.
